I recently went looking for a real roasting pan, and ended up buying this one: Anolon Tri Ply Roasting Panwww.macys.com/shop/product/anolon-tri-ply-roaster-with-roasting-rack?ID=1020439&CategoryID=7552#fn=sp%3D1%26spc%3D17%26ruleId%3D78%26slotId%3D14%26kws%3Droasting%20pan%26searchPass%3DexactMultiMatchIt's such a terrific pan that I thought I'd better spread the word! For one thing, the price was reasonable (after sale and promotions, about $60). There are many roasters with comparable qualities selling for $100-$200. It's sturdy and heavy duty. It's BIG (17 X 13 X 3.5 inches), large enough to hold a turkey. But it works well for smaller batches (a single chicken, for example). The construction is 3-ply, stainless steel on the outside with aluminum in the middle. The aluminum conducts heat evenly, and the stainless steel is - stainless lol. (My old roaster was all aluminum, and I used to worry about cooking with lemon juice, tomato, etc. in it due to possible interaction with the aluminum.) Honestly, I can't find a thing not to like about his pan. Cleanup has been easy so far. Food doesn't seem to stick to it.
