I've used text to speech programs and speech to text programs for years. I was about to load my Dragon Speech to Text program onto my newly purchased laptop, (as it is already loaded on my older Win10 and my old, old Win7 laptop and I've used longtime...but find it a bit of a pain in the neck) but I looked first at the Microsoft (free) text to speech that comes built in to Win10. Ok. But then, I was u-tubing around and saw mention of Google's free speech text and I gave it a try. Pretty darned good...and no training required.
I don't know exact info... I know that I have Google Drive account...and that I go from there to Google Doc's...and in THAT area's tool bar (top of screen) is Tools...and within its dropdown menu there is a speech tool. (I now see also that if a G-mail user...and if we have Chrome browser...we can add extension for the same program (Google's Speech to Text) ...and so, can dictate email instead of typing it.
If you too are interested in TALKING to your computer and you don't mind manually doing SOME EDITS that will be necessary AND if you use Chrome browser., which I believe is required.. you might want to look into Google's program.
Here are a coupla u-tube videos where I got the info:
and these will lead you to more utubes about same and others...
