Ebooks - YES! I do love them! I have hundreds of them. I keep them all in (free) Calibre. Nobody else here (cept Bev and me) work with ebooks or buy em or collect em? Read them on your Kindle or Nook or ? (I have Kindle...longtime...opened me up to whole new worlds of books and subjects. Read on my Kindle every night to knock myself out and go to sleep...eventually. Better than just laying there TRYING to go to sleep...what a bore...and it's HARD shutting down brain enough to knock out. Reading works for me and is enjoyable in the process.)
How's about you? Do ebooks on your computer or Kindle?
Where I get them? Oh, mostly from the public library (check out their online collection sometime--free for you to download), or I buy them from Amazon, or friends share.

I have a Kindle but do prefer actually holding a book in my hands. The Kindle is great if we're flying somewhere or for reading at night after DH is asleep, though. I use the library service for downloading books and have learned that if I keep the Kindle in airplane mode, it will prevent the e-book from being "returned" to the library on the due date if I haven't finished it yet.

DH and I have used our ipad to read ebooks. It isn't horrible but it sometimes feels so 'ethereal' and fleeting. Probably just a matter of what one is used to.

YES! I LOVE my ebooks!
Years ago, I was one of those folks who swore I couldn't give up my physical books, but a friend made the conversion and had me intrigued. I bought my first Nook and fell in love with it - I could carry hundreds of books (I read several books at the same time), it fit in my purse, when I traveled I wasn't hauling 5+ paperbacks, it's easier to read in bed, more convenient to read...well, just about anywhere but especially when I'm eating lunch, and I didn't have to worry about how to fit yet another book on my already overfull shelves.
I'm a Nook user, though I'm thinking when this devise craps out (it's glitchy as all get out) I'm going to go with Kobo. I have an Amazon account, but I don't what to have to pay Amazon to keep adverts off my device (so I've been told).
I use Calibre exclusively for my "ebook management". I get most of my books from eBooks.com and the rest directly from specific publishers that I follow. I have read off my tablet, but I like the smaller units.

I started out with a Kindle, but now I use the Kindle app on my iPad mini. I get a lot of my eBooks (and audiobooks) from the library. It does make me a little crazy that my library only allows 5 holds at a time. gobluem82, I need to test that airplane mode tip on my iPad. This morning the book I was reading expired and disappeared. I thought there was a trick, but couldn't remember what it was. I read both ebooks and real books. Depends on what the subject is. Or whether I am going to want to read it in bed. Or how much the eBook costs compared to the real book. I don't like that I cannot share Kindle books. My DH and I have our IPads registers to his Amazon account so we can share eBooks. If I buy real books, I try to buy them used. Varaile, I'm not sure what you mean about having to pay Amazon to keep ads off your device. I've never seen an ad in the Kindle app.
