We have fish frys all over town on the Fridays before Easter...but St Patrick's Day is Friday? Which will you choose? And, what about a dessert? Does it have green in it? Oh the choices you have to make... Here is a link to a good looking dessert that if I can find the box of Thin Mints I think I have I am going to try...
Brownies » ½ cup unsalted butter, melted » 1 tablespoon vegetable oil » 1 cup superfine sugar » 2 large eggs » 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract » ¾ cup all purpose flour » ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder » ¼ teaspoon salt » mint cookies, I used Thin Mints
Mint Buttercream » 1 stick butter, unsalted, softened » ⅛ teaspoon peppermint extract » 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted » 1 tablespoon heavy cream, as needed
Chocolate Ganache » 10 ounces chocolate, I prefer dark, chopped » 1 cup heavy cream » pinch salt
Check out the link to see the picture (which looks yummy) and get the recipe instructions... www.southernfatty.com/thin-mint-ganache-brownies/
Oh and for the record...I will eat the fish as I don't want to cook the Corned Beef...Friday's are my lazy evenings...

I just made corned beef last week and we have salmon at least twice/week--no specific days, just when we feel like fish. Both are super easy so hard to pick for me. WI has fish fries every friday....here they call it fish & chips...not sure why, and they serve it any day.
Purim just ended but the treats are just too carby for me...I stuck with including hummus!

I think we might do Bangers & Mash. Not really Irish, but I plan to mash some broccoli with the potatoes and make it all a lovely green. That's about as close as we'll get to celebrating I think.

We are doing classic corned beef with potatoes, turnips, carrots and cabbage. Coarse-grain mustard on the side with some earthy bread.

Oh my! Calcook, those pages are WONDERFUL! Thanks!! After moving around the site (and drooling as I went) plus ooohing over all the photography... I found a happy surprise! I found a list with links to all the recipes in print ready format!!! Found the list by going to a dish I was interested in, and scrolling down to past the photos and text, where there was a place to click for Print version. When the window changed, the recipe I wanted was there to highlight and copy, but ALSO, and this is the point I'm trying to bring to everybody's attention IS -- over at the left-some side of the same window is the links to each recipe...direct links to each one in PRINT READY format!! (For our ease in printing or copying.) LOVE IT! For example, go here: sites.google.com/site/homeiswheretheboatisrecipes/beef-hand-pies-with-cheddar-stout-crust Thanks again. That site is a keeper!! AWESOME photography, too!

Love the Cabbage plates, lucky pasta, and all the picnic basket ideas. And of course all the food. Thank you for sharing the link.

Did anyone notice the Valentine's Day pages there...Alice in Wonderland theme? I can't believe one human did all that. I've never seen anything quite like this person's site! Beautiful.
