I am planning to make this in the next few days. I'm a big fan of easy and quick nutritious one-pot meals. Some of the ingredients: cabbage, gr beef, chili powder, cumin, diced tomatoes, corn, garlic, green onion, taco sauce or hot sauce ...... In the recipe, she suggests......"The two things that I think wouldn’t skip, though, are the taco sauce and green onions. That tangy taco sauce really brightens the flavors and adds another dimension that takes the dish up about ten levels. You can sub your favorite hot sauce if you don’t have taco sauce, as long as it has a vinegar base. Taco sauce? I know I've never bought it before, or I might have some hot sauce on hand (and total wimp hear wise so just use a small bit). ETA: After doing a quick search, lots of recipes online to make a taco sauce, super easy, no junky ingredients, and I can freeze any leftovers. I was thinking of subbing black beans for the beef (I wonder if would have to change up other ingredients/more liquid/seasoning --- guess I'll find out. Or I might might just follow as written since new recipe, since it is called beef and cabbage stir fry. : ) Thought I would just go ahead and post while copying it. www.budgetbytes.com/2017/02/southwest-beef-cabbage-stir-fry/Just curious, would you have anything with it? I would likely just have this -- since veg/protein all together. Easy/time saver. And a picture from her website.
