Anyone know what that means? I do a lot of shopping on eBay, and the last package was coming from China to the US. I tracked the package and see it finally arrived in the US, but the tracking info says Handed over to customs. Anyone know why or what happens next? Is the guy in customs walking around in my new wig? lol

That means it is being checked at customs and then transferred to the next shipping co (USPS, UPS, etc). When we ordered new laptops for the boys a couple of years ago, we were able to track them and they stopped in customs. I think they were there for a day or two -- just depends on the volume going through at the time. They just check the paperwork -- see that the declarations and tariffs paid are in order -- and they have the right to inspect them -- dogs may sniff them over. You know, the customs thing, but it will be on it's way soon.

Thank you. Unless I'm mistaken, two out of three packages were handed over to customs, but one was not. Never noticed this in the past. Maybe they just spot check certain packages at random. I don't know. Hope it's sent on its way soon. It must be on a slow boat from China.

I figured if I saw anyone in the Bay Area walking around with a blonde ombre Lisa Rinna like wig I'd know what happened to it. I don't know why it sits in customs so long. Oh well. At least it arrived in one piece with no dog slobber haha. Thanks for asking.  I'm waiting for another package for about 2 months now which is pretty unusual. This time I'm really concerned because it wasn't through eBay and it wasn't through PayPal and the seller doesn't seem to want to acknowledge my emails. So I'm not sure what to do or how long I should wait. Grrr. |

I'd try to contact the seller one more time, and if you paid by credit card, let them know you are going to contest the purchase. If you're not satisfied, file a claim. Most companies allow you to do this online (Chase does). Good Luck. |

I finally had to open a claim with the bank. The transaction is still pending. This was unusual in that it involved a third party? E-Check. hoping for some closure soon. Thank you for asking.
