I just came across this old interview with Ruth Reichl.
Two things that stand out....
Her reply when asked what is her favorite recipe in her cookbook My Kitchen Year (has to do with the day after Gourmet Mag closed, where she was the editor in chief). And a recipe for that food is included.
And great quote "Part of what I learned this year is that we tend to waste our lives waiting for big moments, and there is a lot of joy to be found in small moments. To me, that’s the secret of life. Don’t wait for pleasure to come and find you, go find it." How true!
