I haven't made these in a few years but since I had some fruit to use and it was a rainy dreary day --- time to pull out the muffin pan. I had in my notes that the last time I made them they stuck quite a bit to the liners, but then, I was out of my usual liners. No problem with sticking this time. I've never baked right in the muffin tin as written. I just thought I would mention the possible sticking so may want to grease well. Of course, could have simply been cooks error. And, I do change up the recipe a bit based on what flour I have etc. www.vegetariantimes.com/recipe/pear-walnut-muffinsPicture from their website: (

These look delish. I used to go to a bakery that had fresh pear muffins but we've since moved away. They were really good so I'm going to have to try this and see how they compare. I hate walnuts so will either leave those out or sub pecans.

I made these awhile back and liked them, too. I wonder what causes muffins to stick to the paper liners. I made some GF banana muffins on Sunday and used those opaque liners, essentially foil liners with a paper outside. The muffins popped right out. Still have your recommended liners on my to-buy list for when I need more, applecrisp.

I don't know what causes them to stick either but mine always do so I no longer use them. I just grease the muffin pan with Crisco - yes, Crisco and they come out super easy and clean. I have tried everything else and it's the only thing that works for me. And its the only thing I use Crisco for.
