I'm curious about the Joanne Chang recipes in the Nov/Dec EW but they're not available online - does anyone have that issue? THANKS!

I presume "EW" means Eating Well. I have that issue. How can I help?
Richard
[Later] OK, I found her recipes. What can I help you with?

Thanks! Do you mind telling me the recipe titles? If they're intriguing, I'll buy the issue... THANKS!

Our library allows us to view certain magazines online and EW is one of them--what a great service! Anyway, here are the recipes in the Joanne Chang article: Pear-Almond Crostada, Apple-Spice Muffins, Nut and Honey Biscotti, Sticky Toffee Pudding with Maple Sauce, Lemon Poppy Seed Chiffon Cake.
There are many other great looking recipes in this issue as well, in particular a lot for Thanksgiving side dishes.

Thanks everyone! Goblue - that's a GREAT service! I know--isn't it awesome! In addition to EW, I can also view Bon Appetit, Cook's Illustrated, Saveur, Martha Stewart, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Food Network Magazine, Vegetarian Times... and those are just the cooking magazines!

I particularly liked this issue and usually hate the holiday issues. I actually made Joanne's Honey Nut biscotti yesterday, but never had a chance to bake them so the dough is in logs in the freezer. I added a bit of orange zest to the dough and swapped cinnamon and nutmeg for the aniseseed. Not a fan of anise but love cinnamon in my biscotti. I also cut back a bit on the nuts and just added the chocolate chips to the dough. Time will tell if they turn out....they should!! I will try to get them baked later this week. I also made the Oatmeal-Chia mix and had a bowl this morning for breakfast. It was my first time eating chia seeds!!! Think my hair will start growing!!! I put the rest of the mix in the freezer, but this will make a nice filling breakfast on the cold winter mornings to come when I get home from the pool at 6:30 AM!! (Sauna was broken this AM so this was perfect to warm me up today). I used raisins and dried cherries for the fruit and finished my bowl with a bit of brown sugar and almond milk plus an extra sprinkling of cinnamon. It was good. I also marked a lot more to try from this issue. Karen
