Since I started the food thread, I figured we needed one of these. What have you bought lately, non-food items.
I bought 2 Vinturi wine aerators to give to our parents - for $15, a great deal. I use mine and I know I paid a lot more. Online, they still are about $30 at various stores.
I picked up some stemless wine glasses, 8 for $20. I have some already, but sadly some broke. These are shaped more for red wines, and I only use stemmed wine glasses for company these days. These fit in the DW as well.
LED light bulbs are a great deal. I'm not sure if it's regional, but packs of indoor flood lights (can lights) and and others have an instant rebate. I prefer LED since they are instant on rather than slowly becoming bright, and they are dimmable too.
Last month I picked up some Sketchers slip on shoes to wear inside the house, about $30. I tend to go barefooted and I find the hardwood floors are hard on my back after a while. I hate house slippers since they always stretch then hard to walk in. These are very comfortable and light, and don't mark the floor. I would get another pair, but I only see sizes 7 and under there now.

I am exhausted looking at sweatpants or any pants for women because I DETEST that they sit on the pubic bone. Didn't that trend finally end??!! Tell the retailers that. On a whim, I picked up the Men's Puma joggers/sweats in small. PERFECT. Not catered to slim you (pockets) but could not believe how well they fit. And Nov. 18th-23(?) they are taking $4.00 off. SO wish costco were closer! We buy the 50# softener salt when we are feeling strong and ready to deal with the extra 10 pounds DH swears by their dupes of the smartwool socks for men. I bought merino wool socks for women (and it figures), one washing and there are holes in the toe area. RANT: Why can't they make women's clothing as durable as mens...and not charge us through the roof! I've purchased vacuum cleaners from them (had to return one and nice to know they take it all back), sonicare and/or oral b brush head replacements --best prices I've ever seen but you don't have a choice on compact heads. Not all supplements are a great value, but the glucosamine/chondroitin that DH uses is worth it. Nitrile gloves...go through them a lot when we fish, or if I am handling a lot of meat in the kitchen; DH goes through a lot in the garage to avoid solvents/chemicals. They were selling nordicware baking sheets that were great. Also a cast iron dupe of a Staub that is really great! LED book lights----ideal when the power goes out. Kirkland batteries score very high on reliability. I've purchased pillows, entry way rugs, 2 huge open/box concept furniture for storage, the kirkland dupe of clorox wipes...bigger wipes. I always stock up when Kleenex has money off. I'm not a fan of the kirkland TP. I've written and asked them to change it, but so far, no dice. 2-pack of the saran-wrap-type film. 2-pack of the heavy duty reynolds foil (hit or miss...have gotten some odd boxes with holes all through the foil but costco replaced it!) Fancy Feasts assorted when it is on sale Copy-cat of Uggs (and I have a pair of real uggs)...for the money, prefer the dupes so I don't fret over "ruining" or staining them. 40# pack of sunflower seed for birds Kirkland paper towels. Huge bag of baking soda (cleaning!) 2-pk vinegar (cleaning!!) Bought a TV (Sony) Yamaha speaker bar Mobile 1 synthetic oil (when on sale) windshield wipers Car mats Microfiber cloths (huge bag!) Small chest freezer Microwave when we first moved here Towels/washcloths, Ibuprofen, aspirin, allergy meds Glasses, Raised beds for the garden (and compost)--probably a few plants and a hose (leaked so we returned it). Olay Complete (when they have a sale) (I've purchased --twice now---facial wipes but have yet to use them!) Amlactin (when it goes on sale)--amazing lotion if you have those bumpy things on the back of your arms. I'm sure I'm forgetting something!!

Batteries for DH's hearing aids-best price anywhere!
Allegra - also best price, about 1/2 of CVS/Walgreen's
Flonase - also amazing price (can you tell we live in an allergy area?)
We get lots of casual clothes there and they are gorgeous and good quality. My last "find" was Karen Neuberger pj's for $12.99 vs. $19.99 at the local Marshall's.

For years I bought Karen N. nightgowns at Marshall's/TJMaxx, but haven't seen any in recent years. Most of mine are getting threadbare. Did they have gowns or just PJ's at Costco? Guess I need to pay a visit.

I'm not a Costco member -- but when visiting family I've bought the reading glasses (three pack) a few times. IMO much better quality than many other readers that you can buy at CVS, Target.....
And the three pack camisoles, socks .....

Walycat, I purchase so many things on that list myself. I recently bought their shampoo and conditioner after a few years of not using it. So far, it has been great, and you can't beat the price and size (about $8 or $9 each). When I was there last they had a 2 pack of Aveno body was for $6.97, so I bought 3 packs. My sister is lactose intolerant and she buys Kirland brand "Lactaid" and she finds it works better than the brand name, pricier product. Last year when we moved we bought a new tv console that we really like. We rented a truck for about $20 and was so worth it. When they bring back their furniture, usually after Christmas, we plan on getting a few bedroom pieces for a spare room. I know in the past they had a media dresser that was perfect for a tv as well since it had slots for the dvr. Also, we are waiting for their patio seating in the spring (sofa and chairs) since we liked what we saw last year, and it is so much cheaper than what the local stores offer, and comfortable too. So many are uncomfortable that I refuse to order online since I need to test it out. As for clothes, it's hit or miss for us. I bought a light jacket last year that is just as good as any North Face or Eddie Bauer, etc. version, for $20. But I agree with Wallycat about the holes in the socks. I thought it was just me, so I hardly ever wear socks around the house. Now I wear my Sketchers that I mentioned above and love them!

We get DH's contacts at Costco for a lot less than anywhere else.
I really like the Kirkland shampoo and conditioner. Works just as well as the really pricey Nexxus I used to use on occasion.
I like the TP for what it is. It's not what we use here at home, but I buy it to use at my church. It's septic safe and much softer than any commercial grade TP I could buy. But the best parts are that the large rolls fit a standard size holder, AND they last forever. Makes keeping up with the bathrooms so much easier for me since switching.
The garbage bags are a good quality, and one box lasts a very long time.
Ibuprofen works as well as Motrin and there is a LOT in one two-pack.
I bought a fleece jacket for myself that is incredibly comfortable. Can't speak to longevity since it is new, but for the price, if I only get a couple of years out of it, that's okay.
LED light bulbs are SO cheap there compared to everywhere else. The very first time I walked into Costco, that's what I bought there and promptly changed out the light bulbs in the house.
I bought a big 50 pack of gel pens for myself and I really like them.
Plants! I bought the biggest potted mum a month ago for just $15. Ones half the size were selling at the local hardware store for $20.
Dishtowels.

Socks! I bought some merino wool socks a few weeks ago. So comfy and they've been nice and warm as the weather's changed a bit. They washed just fine without shrinking too.

Beth, I am sure they would take it back. Why can't you take it any more? DH has been using the generic and sometimes, it seems like it isn't working for him...maybe he needs stronger meds.

Beth, As long as the Allegra package is sealed and it is not past the expiration date, they should take it back.

I was at Costco and Sam's yesterday and picked up a few things. I needed a new Kitchen scale, and Costco had one for $19.99 (Taylor) that weighs up to 30 lbs (not necessary). I also bought a regular scale,Weight Watchers, for $14.99 after $5 off.
I picked up a Ninja Coffee Bar at Sam's for $49 (I started a thread on that) on a whim. Sam's also had a enameled dutch oven for $19 on sale, I think Tramontina brand, but I didn't need one that size (6.5 qt I think).

We were there the other day and they had a Tramontina "casserole" type stainless WITH an induction plate for $70. WOW. For anyone that entertains a lot and needs to keep sauces warm or cheese dips melty...or needs more than a crockpot but doesn't want to use up stove space, this may be a great thing. I did not read about the induction except it is 1500 watts. I even thought about people who have drink bars/stations and want to be able to brew hot water for tea or pour over coffee. My (Bosch) induction cooktop has timers and can turn off on its own, time down, blah, blah....not sure what features this one offered. I think the stainless pan was a 4 quart.

caffe latte be careful with that scale. I had one before, the one with the square glass surface. I carefully rinsed it off and must have gotten a few drops of water where it shouldn't go and it killed it instantly. I didn't immerse it or anything dumb & thought I was careful enough. No. I bought a different brand scale (kamenstein) that is easier to clean without killing the electronics. about the same price and at Costco too.

I always try weigh ingredients on a plate or paper towel, so I normally don't have to clean it. This is my 4th scale (all different makes) and they all seem to get wonky for one reason or another.

Ladies Speedo bathing suits for 19.99. I swim twice a week, and I pick up at least 2 of them every spring. They usually only have them the first few months of the year ( never in the summer!). Indoor pools seem to wreck expensive suits; I usually get a year's use out of mine. The only problem with them is that they have limited colors and styles; one time I wore one to Aqua class and 3 of us were wearing the exact same suit; we looked like a c league swim team .

Yep....love those Speedo swim suites. I buy 8-10 every January. I swim every morning and I rotate 2 at a time so I wear one every other day. I find each rotation of 2 suites last me about 3-4 months. More expensive suites did not last any longer in the indoor pool so it was not worth the expense. And these are a decent fit.

I purchase Orlando Pita Argan Gloss shampoo and conditioner over the weekend. Both were part of the coupon offers, $5 off, so $9.99 each, so I couldn't pass up the chance to try them at those prices, since the bottles are 27 oz. I have dry hair that likes to frizz, so I need something that will give it moisture. I've used them a few time and so far so good. The conditioner is unlike any other I have used. I don't know how to describe but it instantly makes my hair feel soft, just by applying it. It just glides through my hair. The real test is in the summer I know, but so far I like the results. I hadn't seen these before, but I don't always look at the shampoo. I have used the Kirkland shampoo and conditioner and find it works for a while and then I switch to Neutrogena Triple Moisture, which works well for my hair as well.
Just a note of caution, I have a friend who is allergic to nuts, and had a bad reaction to an argan oil shampoo (I think she said Pantene). Her face - especially her eyes and lips swelled, so beware if you have allergies.

I bought the 12 pack of Tramontina steak knives at Costco for under $30 and they are great. I needed some new ones, but didn't want to spend too much so I figured these were a good start. They are dishwasher safe, but I always hand wash knives. However, if they ended up in there, then no worries. We also picked up a couple of Azaleas - $20 - cheaper and larger plants than at Lowes or any garden center around.
