Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1½ teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
For the frosting:
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans with cooking spray and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add in the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined.
Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cakes comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
For the frosting:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until creamy.
Add the cocoa powder and powdered sugar, and mix on low speed until well combined.
Gradually add in the milk and vanilla extract, and continue mixing until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
Once the cakes are completely cool, place one cake layer on a cake stand or serving plate. Spread a layer of frosting on top of the cake layer.
Place the second cake layer on top of the frosting, and spread another layer of frosting on top.
Decorate the cake with additional frosting as desired, and serve.
Enjoy your delicious chocolate cake!

Wanton Chocolate Cake: Blend dry fixings - flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking pop, salt. Whisk eggs, milk, oil, vanilla. Join wet and dry blends. Add bubbling water, blend. Prepare in lubed container at 350°F for 25-30 mins. For icing, beat spread, add sugar, cocoa, milk, vanilla. Glaze cooled cake. Enjoy!

I love the cake from this recipe. I don’t like a fluffy cake. But I also feel like it’s still very moist and I think it has a great chocolate flavor. Made this over the weekend and it was pretty good. foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/beattys-chocolate-cake-recipe-1947521.amp
