Sheesh, I was just looking at the cooking blog, Closet Cooking and while the recipes look delish, the ads were soooo annoying I had to go elsewhere. I understand why bloggers allow the ads, but sheesh, it was absolutely horrible - ads popping up all over so I could barely read the recipes.

I'm puzzled by this. Closet Cooking is one of my goto recipe sites. I don't have ads interrupting this site.

Actually, I went there because of a recipe you linked to on a Hits and Misses thread. It was just dreadful - ads popping up in front of the recipes, ads popping up in the right and left corners. It was unbearable. Now I was on my work laptop, maybe I'll have to try my iPad because the recipes (well, I should say the photos) looked to die for.

Here's a shot of what pops up when I'm trying to view the Jerk Shrimp recipe:

did you have any better luck looking from your iPad? I guess I have the right combination of popup and ad blockers. (I am on a MacBook, using Chrome as my browser).

Yes, what a difference on my iPad. We have Norton 360 on our personal devices and it seems to block most pop-up ads. Now to start exploring more of his recipes! They all look so dang good.

Now, if you two could just solve the local news app ---- Breaking news!!! One half second of video then and ad. By the time you get back to the breaking news, it has already broken and you have to go elsewhere to find out what happened.
