Puttanesca sauce, a tomato sauce with garlic, crushed red pepper, capers and olives, is one of my favorite sauces. So, why not try it on something a little healthier than pasta. Here it is, with baked cod. Delicious.

Again, welcome to our forum, John, if you are a beloved foodie. I have a feeling that something isn't right here. Either you are a seller of fish (and intend to do some advertising here, which is not allowed), or something else is going down. I only OK a few people to join our group. It's a hard world and I have to protect my friends here, so just to let you know: if you are somehow tricking us, I will soon know and will ban you. It's not normal for me to go against my strong instincts and keep a person in group. Usually, folks who come bearing bad gifts get banned immediately. I hope you are legit. You might drop me a private message here using our messaging system, if you care to.

Wow. Incredibly wrong assumptions on your part, and in fact pretty insulting. Please let me set things straight. Although I am an attorney in Florida (you can find me at litchfieldcavo.com), I am a foodie. I have cooked all my life. I post pics of my creations very frequently on my Facebook page for my friends and relatives (including cousins in Italy) to see and comment on. Send me a friend request and you can see for yourself.
I did not realize that I should post a full recipe instead of just a pic on your forum as I just signed up. I will do so going forward. And I am not selling fish or anything else. But it so happens that I am eating a good bit of fish right now as part of a weight loss plan. I have lost 30 lbs. in 1 and 1/2 years, and I hope to lose another 15 or 20 in the next two years.
I have just completed a cookbook that I hope to have published soon. I do not intend to use this forum to sell it. I just like interacting with other home cooks. As an example, I subscribe to a few dozen food bloggers sites (I would be happy to name them for you), because seeing other peoples' creations inspires me.
I noticed in your comment on my other posted recipe that you are suspicious of my newly created (and not yet fully developed) website. Again, you have made terribly wrong assumptions. I thought that since I am hoping t get published it would be helpful if I have a website. In fact, when I downloaded the instructions for proposal submissions, that was a question that at least two publishers asked. So, yesterday I went to godaddy.com and set up a domain name and website. I haven't figured out yet how to post more pics or how to replace some of their pics with my own, and I have not begun posting recipes yet. As I said, I just went to godaddy yesterday for the first time and I am very, very new to all of this. The site is still very much in development.
I am surprised and disappointed by your very presumptive assumptions and comments. Hopefully, you will overcome them. Also, it would have been nice if you had contacted me directly for any necessary clarification before disparaging me to others. Still, I would like to stay on this forum, as I noticed that I did get several views on these two posts. If you would like any other information from me, just let me know. Thanks.

I didn't mean to make you so angry. I hope your attitude will change soon as you get to know us. We have a small, very protected group here, as I've mentioned before. I didn't mention any website of yours in my posts to you, I think. I know of none for you. I mentioned the spot where your photos are stored, a website (you signed 'guest') that is questionable. I let you in even though I had misgivings. I wanted you to appreciate that and understand.
I do not write personally, via email, to folks who are unfamiliar to me. Being new, I figured using the messaging system would be unknown to you, so that was out. I had no other way to contact you and I don't see a reason for you to become huffy. I wasn't rude in my eyes. (I expected to hear back some sort of "THANKS, I am a normal person AND a foodie. I'm happy you let me join, even though you had your doubts.")
Your photos are lovely. You don't HAVE to post recipes or links to recipes, just the photos is fine, simply not in that spot and I've offered to move them, if you like. I hope we get along better as we go along. I own and run this group and for last couple years since we opened, we've had a very happy, friendly environment. I hope you will be happy with that and I sure hope we will see happy posts (and even some of your recipes) soon.

I am sorry if I got huffy initially, but no one had ever suggested I was a money launderer before. That said, I very much appreciate your latest reply and I too hope we can have a great relationship going forward. Also, thanks for your complements on my two photos. As I mentioned, I am in the process of creating my own web site. It is now up and running except that I haven't posted any recipes yet. But you can see a lot more photos. It's healthyitaliancooking.org. (all lower case and no spaces). I'm not sure why it's an .org rather than a .com, but that's what godaddy offered me.
Finally, when I do post recipes on your site going forward, I will post the full recipe text wit a photo, rather than just a photo, and rather than any link to my site. As I stated earlier, I am not here to advertise, I am here to share and get ideas from other foodies.
Thanks again for your reply. It meant a lot.

lol You have me chuckling over the money laundering! hahaha Guess there's always a first time. lol lol But really, it wasn't you I was calling a money launderer. lalala (I am cracking up here at this point.) It was that place that hoists photos. Well, I'm happy to see that you are a good person with good intentions. WELCOME TO THE GROUP!!! The way we originally set up this forum was went Cooking Light forum went down. SO, we may give wrong impression (and it's out of my hands, I think, at this point) that we are a LIGHT group. (Not fuzzy-headed, but light as in low cal, fat, etc.) I've seen some text out there on the net about that we are healthy forum--some advert or something. We do have a section that is for healthy stuff, but we are not generally a low ANYTHING group. Just letting you know so that you aren't disappointed. The old TimeLife owned CL forum wasn't particularly devoted to cooking light, either. That was the beauty of it. We had such fun there. And it's been a coupla years and many of us still moan about it being gone and we keep hoping that folks who loved it, too, will find us here. And, we are also hoping that other folks who love the stuff we love will join us, too. We are a tiny group and it can be slow at times. (One reason, I keep spammers out as best I can or we'd be REAL busy.) Again: SO happy you are with us. You don't HAVE to post recipes. It just is worrisome when new folks join and post a few lines or less maybe with a photo, maybe not. That's the pattern we've seen in the past from folks who join for questionable reasons. Don't feel that you must. However, in the original thread we started in, that is usually where we post recipes and links to them. Catbatty I have moved this thread. I'll go moved the other tread too.
