I eat nonfat plain greek yogurt often. I bought by accident a small container of Fage 5% plain greek yogurt. I typically use greek yogurt for breakfast (with fruit and nuts), sometimes in place of sour cream, or maybe in a quick dip.
I was just thinking of using it in a different way (I know basically the same as what I usually get, probably just richer/creamier).
If I had flour I might have tried the two ingredient dough recipe I've seen all over the internet.
Thx.

If you have cucumbers and garlic you can make a delicious tzatziki

I don't buy anything but full fat. I too use it for breakfast, but also as sour cream (if I am out) for mexican dishes.

Put some jam or jelly or maple syrup on it and enjoy!
Or use it to bake. The baked goods will do better with the additional fat. Maybe Ina's or SK's yogurt cake? Both of which freeze well. Or here is one with no citrus.

Thx for the ideas!
PattiA -- Tzatziki is a great idea, probably even better with the full fat. But unfortunately out of cucumbers.
Wallycat -- Greek yogurt is my go to breakfast. I might just use it for that. I'm interested to see how it tastes/compares to my usual nonfat yogurt. I do the same thing -- put some on top of my chili etc or a baked potato ...
erin -- Ah to bake. I haven't baked in awhile so out of most of the usual ingredients. And the stores were out of flour and what, chocolate chips. I'm going to see if I can find a recipe that uses what i have. If nothing else I have a corn muffin mix. And I finally got a dozen eggs!
emma --- That sounds delicious!
I might try an alfredo recipe that basically is greek yogurt, garlic and parm.
Thanks again.

I love plain non fat greek yogurt. I don't like full fat anything. I love the sharper tang of non fat and don't like the "mouth-coated" sensation of full fat things. wipes out my sense of taste. and I don't need the extra calories. I know I'm in a minority here.

Yep, pineapple frozen yogurt is a great choice for sure. And talking of which, I can highly recommend this list of chosen recipes from official site where professional nutrition masters gathered all the most popular recipes about pre-workout meals, and made the top of those recipes. I like to spend some time for cooking them.

Right, greek yogurt can be used as salad dressingю And you know, the Greeks themselves make a very tasty and spicy sauce with cucumbers and yogurt, if I'm not mistaken, I've tried it on Crete, and even bought some greek spices to make that sauce at home ))
