We must be close gilgamesh.
We were actually in NC at the time derecho hit. Minimal damage to the house, tons of trees down and I had to dump the garage freezer and hour refrigerator/freezer when we got back. Thankfully the power came on the day before we got back so it was all frozen again and didn't smell.
Favorite comfort foods: beef stew, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, lasagna.
