Not sure if this will get me to try tofu (I hold firm that I don't like it, although I've only tasted it once or twice) but this sounded good to me in a I don't think I like tofu, but kind of want to try it again kind of way. And I've read before that many think using firm tofu and pressing it is key. And, I thought the cornstarch tip that she mentioned using in other recipes ....coating pressed tofu with cornstarch, then pan frying to get it crispy sounded interesting (she didn't do that step in this recipe). The tofu is browned in a skillet then tossed with a sauce of chili garlic sauce, soy, brown sugar. And the kale is cooked and then soy, sesame oil, sesame seeds ... is added. All served over brown rice. www.budgetbytes.com/2016/09/chili-garlic-tofu-bowls/And a picture from her site.

I love tofu. Tofu is really bland and takes on what ever seasonings and spices you use, but I just adore the texture. I guess it is like eating a custard without the work!

Applecrisp, this is a link to one of my favorite tofu recipes. I just love this. the link is to a Seattle times article with the recipe. she cites a book as her source. this is very fast and easy besides. it's black bean tofu hash, and is easy to find thru google if my link doesn't work. www.seattletimes.com/life/wellness/cut-fat-or-carbs-the-way-to-shed-pounds-may-be-neither/
ETA I will try the chili garlic tofu soon. my only thought is it might be too spicy for DH so might need to trim back the chili garlic sauce. Costco has firm tofu on special right now a 4 pack for I believe it was $3.50.
