I eat lots of roasted broccoli -- just broccoli tossed in some olive oil, some seasonings, perhaps finished with a fresh squeeze of lemon juice etc. This changes it up, and ok, this recipe does add some cheese and bread crumbs.... www.instrupix.com/crispy-cheese-baked-broccoli/ The recipe just has a few ingredients --- broccoli, eggs, bread crumbs, parmesan and cheddar cheese. You basically cut up some broccoli, dunk in egg wash, and top with the rest, and bake. I think I will give it a try the next time I buy some broccoli. I saw the recipe mentioned on a YT channel. I think it would be good with some chipotle ranch dressing that I have in the fridge too. Just thought I would mention. Any favorite ways to make broccoli?

Oooh, that looks good! Maybe even as an app. I am pretty boring with my broccoli consumption (mostly just steamed; if I make roasted, I can eat the whole pan ).
Applecrisp, I loved this recipe (maybe I posted it before?) and I think you would love it, too.
I really liked these two recipes (I made with regular broccoli).
These two gratins are in my to-try folder.
Broccoli and Cheese Casserole with Crunchy Topping (Cook's Country Feb&Mar 2019) If you do not have a bowl large enough to hold 2 pounds of broccoli, microwave the broccoli in two batches for 5 to 7minutes. Make sure your dry mustard is relatively fresh; its flavor starts to fade a few months after it’s opened.
¾ cup panko bread crumbs 1 ounce Parmesan cheese, grated (1/2 cup) 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus 3 tablespoons unsalted butter Salt and pepper 2 pounds broccoli florets, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 shallot, minced 2 garlic cloves, minced 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour 3 cups half-and-half 6 ounces extra-sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (1½ cups) 2 ounces American cheese, chopped (1/2 cup) 2 teaspoons hot sauce 1 teaspoon dry mustard Adjust oven rack to upper-middle position and heat oven to 400 degrees. Combine panko, Parmesan, melted butter, and ¼ teaspoon salt in bowl; set aside. Toss broccoli with ½ teaspoon salt in large bowl. Cover and microwave until broccoli is bright green and just tender,8 to 10 minutes. Drain broccoli in colander, then transfer to 13 by 9-inch baking dish. Melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add shallot and garlic and cook until softened, about 2 minutes. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in half-and-half. Increase heat to medium-high and bring mixture to boil. Off heat, quickly whisk in cheddar, American cheese, hot sauce, mustard, 1½ teaspoons salt, and ¼teaspoon pepper until smooth. Pour cheese sauce over broccoli in dish and stir to combine. Sprinkle reserved panko mixture over top. Bake, uncovered, until casserole is bubbling around edges and golden brown on top, about 15minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes. Serve.
TO MAKE AHEAD Panko mixture and microwaved, drained broccoli can be refrigerated separately for up to 24 hours. To serve, continue with recipe from step 3, increasing baking time by 5 minutes.

I'm willing to give it a try. We seem to steam, roast or use in a stir fry for the most part. DH will make a souffle with it, but we tend to get into a rut with broccoli and could use some new ideas. Still working on those beets too. LOL

erin --- Thanks for all the recipes! I have no idea why you would think I would like that recipe for Roasted Lemon Broccoli with Tahini Sauce. That recipe sounds AMAZING! Lemon, broccoli, tahini .... Yes please! I am trying to cut back on the amount of recipes I save, but hey what's one more. I am so trying that one. Thx. Totally unrelated -- I saw your post about vegetarian baked beans -- with the amount of beans I eat each week, I've never had baked beans. I copied that tilapia recipe in your post too. Clearly, I'm a work in progress on not saving recipes. Hope you had a great dinner party!
beth --- I pretty much just roast it. And I'm getting a bit tired of it, so I need to change up my veggie sides.
