A couple of weeks ago our beloved 14 year-old cat woke from his nap, jumped down from the chair and came up horribly lame on his right hind leg. Long story short, took to vet who prescribed pain/inflammation meds but suspected a torn something I can't pronounce but is apparent feline equivalent of my ACL, and said to bring him back in a few days if not 100%. She called after 3 days and I told her he was modestly better, but not 100%, and she allowed me to use another 3 days of pain/inflammation meds.
After the second series of pills, he is at 85-90% of normal with a pretty good gait, able to run around the house, totally normal sitting posture, making his usual daily leaps on/off bed, chair, car, etc. and viciously attacking his toys. I am so grateful for a vet who doesn't rush to judgment or surgery.

What a relief! Love our cat babies!! What would life be like without em? (Last night, barefooted and in the dark, I stepped into a very large pile of cat vomit. I got that cleaned up and foot washed off...and then continued on to bed...in the dark...and you can guess what happened next...Edited to add: yes, stepped in another pile of same!) AH LOVE! I'm so happy for you!!

And I think we could debate the merits of cat vomit on the floor vs. cat vomit in the bed for days. I can personally attest that my arthritic knees experience remarkable flexibility when I hear the unmistakable sound of something coming up from the furbaby's inner regions. Thank you for appreciating my joy at Dewey's return to normalcy as a 14-year old cat.

(((((((((((((Dewey))))))))))))))) Thrilled to hear a positive outcome. It is so incredibly frustrating when one of our furbabies hurts and they can't tell us how bad or where. Enjoy the recovery with your baby!
