I NEVER thought I would say this, but after using Mastercook since around 1990, I am migrating to a web-based program called Plan to Eat. I'm a personal chef so I do a lot more menu planning than the average cook. I've been thinking about migrating from PC to Apple and MC online just isn't full-featured enough for me to do that. At a friend's suggestion, I started playing with Plan To Eat and I love it. I especially love the shopping list features. It is super easy to import from Mastercook and from the web and from other programs. I am in desperate need of cleaning out my MC recipes so this will help me cull out the duds. Have you seen Plan To Eat? You can check it out here: www.plantoeat.com There is a 30-day free trial. A subscription is about $40 per year. The only sale they have is for Black Friday and it is half price then. That is when I bought it. So far, the only "issue" I have is that unlike MC, I cannot print out a group of recipes without starting each recipe on a new page. I can live with that. For me, the super duper shopping list features are worth that inconvenience. Granted, I shop a lot more than the average person.
