I grow more excited about Instant Pot stuff by the day. I belong to a foodie group that has been around forever and I notice that there are quite a few people posting about using their IP's (there, at that other group)...and they post lots of links they have found, too.
So, I wrote to the owner and asked him if I can mention our food forum here (GFF) (and told him I'd made a spot here for keeping links to IP related sites, recipes, info). He was very gracious and welcomed the info. So, I just now posted to the group, inviting them to come post here (or visit and enjoy).
If any of you would like to see the things they are saying about their IP adventures (or any other things and recipes they share there), you might want to join that group. It's an email group, but you can elect to not get email and just read the posts online (and copy the recipes)...and you can post to that group using email (or post directly from the group's website (link below). I think all of you would be so welcome there...because you share wonderful food and thoughts...always. And I think you all would enjoy THOSE people, too. Nice folks. Like you.
The name of the group is Eat-G -- (for many, many years it was the Eat-L group). Check it out at: groups.google.com/a/vt.edu/group/eat-g/
I am so hoping that we will see some of them adding to our group here...especially to the Instant Pot section where I am hoping we will all finally be able to keep track of all the links and videos and websites and recipes for these wonderful Instant Pots!!!!! The darned things are taking over kitchens, world-wide...over at Eat-G people are even talking about the latest (new) model Instant Pot that has recently come out and a few members already own them!!
Did I mention I used the Steam feature tonight to heat up a small loaf of bread that had turned cold after baking and being left out on the counter too long -- too long to suit me. I put some water in the IP, the Trivet, put the bread in, set it to Steam, put the lid on...and didn't let it steam very long for fear of ruining the bread. Should have let it go longer. But the bread closest to the ends was perfectly warmed and I enjoyed it slathered with butter. (I meant to say also that the steamer feature seemed to bubble the water really quickly.)
Anybody have more links, more videos, more IP cookbooks to talk about? I'd sure like to hear. Thanks!
