I was at Sam's Club yesterday and they had the Ninja Coffee Bar for $49. Using my pricing app, it showed that the model was still selling for over $100 online and in stores, so I bought it on a whim, not that I needed another coffeemaker. Does anyone have one? How does it compare to regular brewers? It wasn't the latest model as those are in the $150 range. I think I want to get into cold coffee, especially in the summer.

I wish I had seen that price! My Keurig had been acting up, and I'm starting to consider alternatives. I'm on my third one in about six years and have been wondering if the Ninja would be a better way to go. I look forward to hearing how it works for you.

I haven't used it yet - but I think I will try it later today. I usually only drink coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon, and I bought a new KA coffeemaker a couple of months ago, so it was really a whim because of the price. I think the main difference between my and the newer models is the the newer ones have a "frother arm". Mine came with a frother. Neither is a big deal for me. I don't think I am going to make latte;s - I leave that to Starbuck's.

I wanted to update since I've been using the Ninja for a couple of weeks. I really like it since you can easily make different sizes of pots or cups without having to measure the water. I just fill up the water reservoir, which twists off really easily, and then determine how much coffee I want to make. You turn the know to your selection of full pot, half pot, travel mug (approx 14 oz) and mug (I think 10 oz). The water is measured automatically. Since you use your own coffee and not pods, I prefer it over the Keurig (which I find to have an aftertaste to the coffee). I don't know if I would have paid over $100 for it, but the deal I got - well worth it!! I haven't made any iced or other coffees, but it did come with a recipe book.
