Perhaps folks here can help each other? One member just joined and is reporting that they cannot post to group (yet the person CAN message me privately and they are showing up as member, etc.) I have suggested perhaps it might be if he is using a different browser than the one he has signed into group on. Waiting to hear back from him. If all else fails, maybe one of you might have has similar experience and can offer advise. Thanks. Will let you know how things turn out soon as I know anything. It might help somebody else out there. (NOTE TO ANYONE SEEING THIS: you do have to be a member of group in order to post to group. Otherwise, non-members can still read and copy out anything they would like to. We aim to have something for every foodie in the world. LOL

I occasionally get logged out and have to log in again, but otherwise no problems posting.

PS: Still Al cannot post. I suspect his choice of browser. I've suggested he try others. Hopefully, he won't give up. He's one of my cohorts over at the Mastercook recipe sharing group. (And a retired professional chef.) Catbatty

SOLVED!!! FIXED!!!! Here's the dope: Bev investigated. We had recently made a change to incoming membership letter to newbies, which set off some internal gizmo that put a HOLD on newbies...kept them from posting right away. WE FIXED. NO WORRIES. NEWEST MEMBERS: WELCOME TO THE GREAT FOOD FORUM!! Sorry for any inconvenience. YOU CAN TALK TO US NOW!! hehe Can't wait to meet you further! Don't be shy. I have hung around most of our members and I can attest to how kind and loving they are. YOU ARE IN GOOD COMPANY!! SHARE AWAY!
PS: THANK YOU BEV -- AS ALWAYS YOU ARE THE *BEST* -- WE ARE SO LUCKY THAT, WHILE YOU MAY TRAVEL THE WORLD, YOU STILL KEEP IN TOUCH WITH US!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!!!!

just tossing into the mix. someone mentioned the magic word, SPAM.
my iphone is overrun with spam daily. we have desktop running windows and Outlook for mail that blocks that same spam. we have a apple laptop that doesnt get it.
On every spam post(most from the same source) I use "block sender" and delete it from the inbox and delete from trash. some emails get blocked and automatically go to trash. it keeps morphing the address and getting thru anyway, so must be a bot. what I dont understand is how ios is ineffective and Outlook works much better. this often is 20 a day. it is a huge headache. its not from a source I ever used. Any ideas?
