I made a Mixed Berry Jalapeno Jam (Taste of Home Canning and Preserving Magazine, 2014) yesterday, using blackberries and strawberries. I don't care for Jalapeno's or so I thought. It was delicious. I would like to make just a blackberry & strawberry jam recipe. I found a recipe on the Ball Jar site for Mixed Berry Jam but it says 4 c. crushed berries, mix and match. My question is what is the ratio? Would it be half and half or something else? I have gone thru my old Ball Jar canning book and my newer one but no answer.
Thank you for your help.

I don't make jam, but I interpret the 4 cups to be whatever berries you want or have on hand whether it's two, three or more varieties. I wouldn't worry about an exact ratio, unless you love it so much and want it again, I'd write down what I used.
