Posts and chats and recipes and videos for the Instant Pot and other types of pressure cookers are ALL OVER THE INTERNET!! (And in magazines and booklets and ebooks and books.) Which is all super great, *however*, I waste so much time trying to find my way *back* to where I saw, or where I stored, or who said what, what group, what webpage. WHERE is that that recipe I wanted to try (and I even BOUGHT STUFF AT THE MARKET TO MAKE IT)? Where is that video?? What did so and so say about making yogurt??? Well, it's gonna be HERE. No more crazy searching over two laptops, misc software, dozens of programs. HERE is the SPOT people!! This is where we can put stuff and FIND IT AGAIN!!! REBIRTH OF OUR SANITY!!!! I hope you join me in posting whatever YOU want to keep or try HERE. A place where you know you can find it again. A place where everybody else knows they can find what you shared. Don't worry about duplicating something that somebody else has already posted. It's almost impossible not to. When posting about this topic: We agree to not have our feelings hurt if something we've shared is posted later by someone else. Duplicates are inevitable. Have fun! Catbatty

Boy, did I pick the right time to check the boards again. I think you just started this thread a few minutes ago. Will you be whooshing the other PC/IP threads into this section of the forum? Yes and maybe yes. I made a New York style cheesecake for the first time the other day, using the recipe in Instant Pot Obsession. It was good, but I think it needed another minute or two, & that recipe calls for prebaking the crust. I've bookmarked another recipe (somewhere on the Internet) that I think has you deep-freeze the crust for a little while b4 making the cheesecake--since the whole point of using the IP is to NOT turn the oven on, that seems like a better approach & I'll post the recipe after I try it. (Loved the 8-quart capacity of the IP for Martha Stewart's corned beef & cabbage Friday night, by the way. Not a PC recipe so I won't post it; I'm just making another plug for the big Instant Pot after the discussion somewhere about 6-quart vs. 8-quart.) Did you convert a standard recipe for the IP?Edited to add: No, I didn't convert a PC recipe--I used the crockpot feature, cooking it all day for 7 hours or so & then adding the cabbage wedges for the last 45 min. I should probably specify that the 7-hours-plus-cabbage note refers to the corned beef, NOT the cheesecake. Also, I named the wrong cookbook above for the cheesecake, & have fixed that error.

I just bought a mini Instant Pot and decided to check accessories for its. Its a theee quart pot. I think it will be good for many things.i. Oukdnt find gaskets for the mini. So Instant Pot customer Service and they said they will ship within two weeks. I have never taken a gasket out. Just run my finger around to make sure it's clean once in awhile one will pop out and I just poke it bake in. I do hear that they can wear if they are used a lot. We know they are sterilised each time you use the pot. I just thought it would be good to have a back up. Terry

Terry, how fun. What will you make in this little one? How much was it and where did you buy it? Is it exactly like the big ones? It will be fun to hear about. Thanks for posting about it here. ~ Brenda (Catbatty) I just bought a mini Instant Pot and decided to check accessories for its. Its a theee quart pot. I think it will be good for many things.i. I'm cruising through IP info here to see if I can help my son get the IP I gave him for Christmas out of the box and start using it. Maybe this is the best place to post the link to the model comparison in case the other post falls away over time. So, forgive the repetition, b ut redundancy can be very helpful at times. www.hippressurecooking.com/which-instant-pot-model-is-right-for-you/

My cousin's husband who's from Jordan just taught me how to make Maqluba in a pressure cooker. So good! It's like this upside-down Jordanian-Palestinian chicken and rice dish that stands up like a cake when you flip the pot and dump it on a flat tray. So impressive to watch and learn about! Loved it and it was super simple to make.
