The time frame in which I received mine is almost identical to Swedishcook's. Of course, I promptly dropped the bowl cover on the floor shortly afterward and broke it, so now I need to order a new one

I put my request in around the 19th-21st. I have an email from Cuisinart on the 22nd, but I haven't seen or heard anything since. I suppose there are different size blades for different processors. Mine is an 11 cup.

I was happy to see the update too. I did download the cookbook but haven't looked at it yet. It's about 80 pages from what I remember.

THANK Y'ALL FOR THE UPDATE! I didn't see my model in the initial news postings. But then got a letter from Cuisinart in mid-December that Costco had let them know I had purchased a fp and, when I checked the letter info, my model WAS included in the recall. I submitted online for a replacement 12-28-16. Received an email in the last few days that I can't open on either of our devices :/ . I assume it's what cafe latte posted. So thanks for that!

No new email here either, or blade. My blade is perfectly intact, so I would have no hesitation to continue using it. I hardly ever use the FP though.

Applecrisp, did you get another email updating your status when it shipped? I got an earlier email that promised updates when it was ready to be sent, but I haven't hearrd anything since. This is really disappointing. I even went and priced a new one -- Macy's has a sale with and extra 10% off kitchen items and then a 10% off on top of that. Makes a new 11 cup about $100. It is tempting but seems silly. Sort of.

Unless I accidentally deleted it, I didn't get another update. I did get an email on 2/4 saying the mfg takes some time etc etc.

Thanks. Not holding my breath -- I have heard that the company is saying it may be this summer (June/July). I heard a news report that said 6 months, but I don't know if that was from the time of the recall or from now. But I did make a batch of scones with it in the meantime.... Wondering if I should get a new one to use until the blade comes.

Beth, I haven't received any new emails since the one I mentioned and as of today, still no blade. I would not hesitate using it the one I have. I'd just inspect it after use to make sure those rivits are still there. Mine seems solid. I'm not spending the money to buy a new one as I don't use it often.

My rivets and the general construction look very solid, so I haven''t been too concerned There are some tiny nicks on the blade edge, but I don't think that is what they are talking about.

I just got my blade. I've seen some folks posting complaints on Facebook and getting replies asking them to send a private message so they can assist them. One person came back and said they got their blade, so maybe that's what it takes. Or to get lucky. I requested the blade back in December, but I think that was their busiest time. Hope the rest of you get yours soon too.

Label says UPS Mail Innovations and has a USPS tracking number and the small box was in our maibox. Googled UPS Mail Innovations and they appear to be a fulfillment/shipping service, so I would look for USPS delivery, though they could use different services for different areas.

Thanks Beth. We've had a lot of shipments that start with UPS and then then USPS delivers them. I get auto alerts when something is shipped to our address, so hopefully I'll get one soon.

Hope so. I was starting to think about buying a new processor on one hand and getting rid of it altogether on the other. I don't use mine as much as I could (DH likes prep work) but when I do, I really want it. I wish it was smaller, but the 11 cup barely holds one of the recipes I use it for. Any larger and I wouldn't have a place for it. It is the one appliance that teeters on the edge of love/hate.

I didn't' read the entire insert, but I think it said to dispose of the old blade in the same box the new one was shipped in. I'm just keeping the old blade for now.

So after waiting for the blade and finally getting it a few weeks ago, I haven't even used it yet. At least I finally washed it and put it away.
Beth, I just wrapped/taped it in the replacement box just like caffelatte mentioned.
