Yes! No outages here so far this year. I made the balls what I thought was 2 inches...then thought those were probably too big, so made some smaller, rolled in sugar and pressed down a bit on all once on baking sheet. They spread but not overly. I ended up with cookies around 2+ and 3 inches wide, I think. All on the one tray. Seemed to make no difference to them...all baked up at about the same rate. Our oven has to be set 10 degrees higher, so we baked at 335 deg, and at 10 and later 12 min I thought they didn't look done. 14 minutes and I decided they MUST be done. Perfect. We ate em all...and the next batch is in fridge waiting to be made. The buttery taste was most pronounced when they were still warm. I ate and ate and ate cookies last night. I normally don't. So, other than a bit sweet for me, they were yummy. Glad to see your post catbatty! You bake = you have electricity Those cookies sound great and I'd love to make them myself. Did they spread a lot - meaning how big were the finished cookies?

Update on Molasses Cookies -- just made a few without rolling in sugar! YES. Better. Not as sweet. Rolling them in sugar is totally unnecessary, in my humble... I keep nibbling...testing...testing...pretty darned gooood! Yep. More nibbles. Uh-huh. These I *will* be making again for sure. Keeper recipe. Adding: after another nibble test - I still think they need the sugar reduced a bit. Update: one more test -- DH baked last batch without pressing them down (didn't seem to matter) and this time, he baked again at 14 minutes but turned the heat up to your 350. I thought, after eating a few, omg, that they were even better...slightly more crisp/chewy. (HOWEVER, this taste test was done while they were cooling. Once they sit for a day they might be rock hard.) Again, no rolling in sugar. Warm, the butter taste really comes through. So, for DH and I: no added sugar for rolling...don't press down...crank up the heat a bit and bake a tad longer than Cake Boss does MAYBE. Will know more after they sit a day...if we can.
