I like to keep two oil misters in the pantry, one for olive oil and one for canola. My canola mister died yesterday so I need a replacement. I use the Misto for olive oil, but am not particularly a fan-it takes a LOT of pumping for a pan's worth of coverage. Does anyone have a mister they use and like? TIA.

The only oil mister that I've ever liked is the old-style Pampered Chef one. Lots of people don't like it, but I've been very happy with it. I've been able to find them new on eBay.

I had that one years ago. I liked using it, but a piece broke inside. I also got one from Costco years ago, a Misto that came with a vinaigrette jar as well. I'm not sure where that went to as well (probably still in a box from when we moved last year). I'm not sure of other brands out there, but the Misto took way too may sprays compared to PC one from what I remember.

You reminded me I have a spritzer bottle of honey mustard vinaigrette dressing I bought at the market. I wonder if that would work once you finish the dressing. Might check around a 99 cent store to see if you can find something similar.

That's very interesting. Mine may just have been clogged but I already tossed it so I'll never know. I ended up getting a trigger spray type by Prepara. A quick pull on the trigger produces a heavy spray and a slow pull produces a stream. Since this one is for my canola oil which I generally use for greasing a skillet, the variable quantity is perfect for me. Thanks, everyone, for the words of wisdom.

Too bad you tossed yours. But now you know how to clean it in case it clogs again.
I'll have check out the one you bought. Let us know how you like it once you've used it for a longer period.
