Does anyone love their latex-FREE pillow? If yes, can you share? latex allergies, so no latex.

I'm a tummy sleeper, so I like soft, squishy pillows which flatten out instead of poufing around my nose and cutting off my air supply. Though definitely not cheap, (I wait for sales) Cuddledown's hypoallergenic 600 fill goose down (soft) works great for us.

Thanks but the Costco pillow is medium density, which would likely suit a side sleeper better than me. From what you're describing of your own sleeping habits, they may work for you, though. My understanding is that it's less about the material used in the pillow than it is about the density of the materials used. Obviously, you don't want an extra soft or even soft for your sleeping style. This is one of many such guides I've seen online. For years, I was looking at flouffy, spongy pillows which cradle the head and feel marvelous when lying on the back. What I stupidly overlooked was that it isn't the position I sleep in, and turning over onto my tummy rendered said pillows absolutely horrid for me!

Gail, appreciate the links. The fill for yours (600) and the costco (also 600), i thought would mean the same density but maybe I am wrong. I just looked at the label on my pillow. Pacific Coast down. And I want pouffier....it's only about 5 years old and I don't recall the "fill" volume on it. I'll go check out the links. Thanks again!

Hi, I actually provided the page from Cuddledown because of the illustrations. The fill power isn't actually what designates a pillow's firmness. I found a quote from www.downandfeathercompany.com which explains it better: So, I wouldn't necessarily write off goose down as an option for you, rather you'd need to find one containing a higher volume of fill which supports you better.

Thank you! I also need to make sure it is goose vs. duck.... update: ordered goose down pillow from costco...a new brand that is teaming up with The North Face. I also ordered a silk-filled pillow. I'll see which is firm enough and which keeps me sleeping cool-y. Thanks again Gail. I'm surprised no one else joined our conversation.

Sorry to be late to the party. I'm also in the market for a new pillow. I bought a bamboo pillow but it's a little too firm. A former colleague posted that he loved the My Pillow from TV. Thanks for the information posted above. Barb

I so need new pillows but never seem to like the ones I buy. The last two relegated to use in my pillow shams since they are too hard.
In the store the pillow seems good, but I never can really tell until I sleep on it for a couple of hours.
Thanks all for the info on pillows and different types. Wallycat, hope you like what you bought!
