 That is a treasure! Was hoping it was in some manner archived. Not sure how long it will be fully accessible however, as we had similar situation where I worked and one day it just went poof! For me, Popular Threads is Home, since my era is the oldest threads. But did you also find this? 192.99.119.244/forum.php Looks like just about everything is there to read.

I use chrome, could it be a browser issue? i just clicked and it said there were 13 users online. Earlier when I found it, it said 1. Anyone else having problems? |

(now hopefully I can go back and look up more good stuff I didn't copy in September) You're welcome, but it didn't even cross my mind to think of you in those words. I have no idea what it could be either. My only thought is to go back to the first link I posted. Scroll down and make sure you have Thread Display Options set from the beginning. From there you can search whatever you want and it will take you to the other board sections. |

OK, it worked for me AND, if you go to the bottom of the page and click on Popular Thread Archives and click on the category and then on the thread display options at the bottom and put in look up within the last year...whalaaaaahhhhh I see our posts!! So they are gone but not totally... |

I'm guessing it's a security issue for some people who may have more security set on their browsers as the page is not secure. Likely what happened on CL's end is they pulled the BB from the server and changed any links that referred to it, but as the archives were in a separate folder, they got left behind. It literally takes seconds to pull a website off the air by moving a folder from one spot to another. |

So they are gone but not totally... Whoa! I wonder how long it will take them to realize this error! Once upon a time I had a practice blog that I would use as my template. I never linked to it anywhere and it was solely for my personal use. It was still "online" as I needed to be able to see it online in various browsers, but the only way it would be found was in putting in the exact address. I stopped using it, and some two or three years later I started getting notifications that people were commenting on this blog. So I went and looked, and sure enough, I'd forgotten about it and somehow spammers found it and were leaving comments. I took it offline then, but it just sat there for years unused and getting no attention... So maybe the CLBB will be around for a while yet for those of us who know how to find it. |

I've just had a great time copying myriad discussions which were fond memories-- plus a few recipes along the way. Was also THRILLED to find the second page of a thread I'd copied years ago, but didn't realize until this month that I'd missed the second page. I think I have a few like that, so I'm delighted to have a second chance to tie up loose ends. Would that more things in life provided second chances.

Another bump in case you missed this. You will also find a thread under Books, Magazines etc. As I joined CLBB in 2004 and was barely lurking until 2008 I have a lot of catching up to do. Busy copying until they pull the plug on the Archives too.
I noticed in one post that a link given to an older post led to the dastardly new CL home page. Ah well.
