I've used those sheets for years but would like to use something a little more environmentally safe. What are you all using?
Thanks.

We haven't looked into softeners yet, but we did switch laundry detergent to True Earth (eco strips). My sister-in-law uses them and recommended them. We have used them for about 1 year. Like em. Little strips...put one at bottom of load. We subscribe for them to be delivered regularly via Amazon.

Nothing. I have two rubber balls in the dryer and I use unscented/sensitive detergent most of the time. Our water is softened; not sure if that makes a difference or not. Haven't used softeners in decades.

Wallycat and PattiA - guess I'll give the dryer balls a go. And we do have soft water too.
Cattbatty - I've never heard of the strips but I'll take a look at them

We've been using wool dryer balls for years now. If you want a scent, simply put a drop of essential oil on one of the balls every few loads.

I bought a two-pack of the wool drier and really like them. How often do you swap them out?

I've been using the same ones for maybe 8-10 years. You can put them in a lingerie bag and wash them in the washing machine (warm or hot water will help smooth or re-felt the surface, then tumble dry to refresh them. I've added more to them, but still have most of the original ones.
