First, I want to make sure that anyone who is interested sees my message about gettng a copy of the 2004 CLBB Community Cookbook. If you haven't and are interested, you just need to send me a private message wth your email address and it is requested that you continue the practice of making a charitable contribution (amount similar to what you'd pay for a cookbook - more if you like) to recognize the contributions of the communtiy and especially those who put in a great deal of time compiling and organizing the recipes and spread the goodwill of the community. You may have a favorite cause, but it not, groups combatting hunger and addressing women's needs were suggested.
Second, Part VI of the cookbook files is a lengthy list of Cooking Light Magazine favorite recipes by name and publication date only. The recipes are not included. I don't know that a part two/sequel or addendum to the cookbook will happen, but I also don't know if those recipes are still available at the CL website or how long they might remain. Would there be enough interest to start one or more threads to try to capture and preserve as many of those recipes as we still can? My quick count is 358 recipes -- and I recognized a number that were being bumped up for saving in the last days of the CLBB. The list in included in the CLBB Cookbook thread - scroll down and you will see the 5 files with member contributed recipes that are in the 2004 CLBB Cookbook followed by the list of CL recipe favorites. It is that last page of CL Favorites that I am talking about).
If so, with that many recipes, I would suggest staring a group of threads and breaking them up alphabetically as they are listed. I think the largest groups were 45-50 recipes, so probably 6-8 threads. If there is an interest, I wouldn't mind starting the threads and listing the recipes for each one. Then we could all contribute the ones we have saved or can locate. Before we lose all those too.
