I am looking to narrow down my cookbook collection. It's hard to do, but I have a whole wall of them and need to squeeze MORE OF THEM in. No room!
So, going thru the older than current ones, or the lessor known ones. (I've not only purchased many new one but also lots and lots and lots from Goodwill and Thrift Stores. You can imagine that sometimes there were DEALS or half-price sales...and so I have dragged home some questionable ones.
Here is name of one I've had forever, have heard little in groups I've belonged to, so I've begun looking around for reviews, etc. At Good Reads, there are several realllly happy reviewers. I now think I won't part with it after all.
BUT, thought I'd run to YOU ALL and see if YOU know anything about this book or have any experience with the recipes in it?
I've heard of it, I've used it, and I still own it!!!! Love it.
Thanks much, Wallycat!! I *will* hang on to this book. Thinking about scanning some of the recipes. Even thinking about cooking from it. LOL Remember any particular pages or recipe names that you tried? I'm excited. It's like finding a whole new cookbook! (Let's see, this one was published back in '93 as I recall. (I would NOT be so excited if it was from back in 60's or 70's because I still have horrors -- memories of my ex-mother in law's Seventh Day Adventist recipes -- she cooked and she taught for the church. I remember flavorless and weird food. Blah and gross. haha HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED!!! (Thank goodness.) (But oh my, I sure loved that wonderful, kind woman!)
