It was an oatmeal day yesterday
Excellent
2/28 Iced Oatmeal Cookies (NYT) So good. Chewy, not too sweet.
Make Again
2/12 Vanilla Buttermilk Cake (Snacking Cakes) Very box-like in the best way. Wet?
Good
2/28 Baked Oatmeal with Berries and Almonds (NYT) Appreciate the way the bake stuck together with the egg and milk. Used apples instead of berries.
2/23 Butterscotch Pecan Pie (food52) Didn’t set, but delicious. Candied pecans on the stovetop.
2/20 Sparkling Cranberry Gin Punch (food52) Good, but I made a lot of adjustments to make it less strong. Still, mix of cranberry, tea, lemon, and gin is a keeper.
2/12 Fluffy Strawberry Frosting (Snacking Cakes) Great strawberry taste, but I wanted something more from it. Also, not enough to frost the cake!!!
2/2 Quick Lemon Bread (KA) Tasty, too sweet? Uses a lot of lemon juice so good for that.
Eh
2/20 Pecan Cake with Caramel-Coconut Frosting (Sheet Cakes & Slab Pies) Frosting good. Wanted more taste to the cake.
2/20 Cheesy Chorizo Sheet Pan Frittata (BHG)
2/20 Sheet Pan Greens and Feta Frittata (BHG) These were both OK, but nothing great. Too thin? Maybe better with newer cookie sheets

Gee, I've got to get a handle on myself and do better. Can't let this feature down...it's always been my favorite part of the old Cooking Light forum and now ours here. I did make a list. I'll have to go find it. Another thing I have planned to do: copy recipes...make them...and keep the copy as a reference so I can report the month's accumulation. Happy cooking everyone! (OR EATING??) lol AND THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE KEPT TRACK AND SHARED!! SO FUN. Catbatty
