Got rid of my knife block! (Daughter has it now and loves it.) Instead, I put up one of those magnetic strips. LOVE IT!! So convenient. Doesn't take up precious counter space. Barely gets dirty, so no cleaning required so far and I doubt there will be any need (I have it full...covered with knives and some measuring teaspoons, tongs, etc.)
Did you get rid of anything or replace anything for something that works better for you? (BTW: I have a Shark cordless vacuum to rave about. Did I already somewhere here? I'll have to go look.)
So, what else can we improve upon for our homes and kitchens? Ideas? Experiences? Let's hear it. You might inspire someone and improve somebodies whole life! Never know....

CatBatty, I did the same a few years ago. I visited a friend and noticed that she had a small magnetic knife block on the side of a cabinet. I got one for the cabinet to the right of my kitchen sink for my three favorite knives and liked it so much that I got another one for the cabinet to the left of my kitchen sink for the rest of the knives that we use all the time. The block went to the thrift shop. We both love the magnetic knife blocks and putting them on the ends of the cabinets make the knives so accessible.
Recently, this Appliance Rolling Tray did not replace anything other than frustration. I use my Instant Pot often and it sits on my counter. When it is not in use, it is placed all the way back against the wall. But when I use it, I move it to the front of the counter. It now sits on this nifty slide tray and I can move it from storage to cooking position with no fuss.

That rolling tray looks great!
I donated one of those bagel slicers, gave away a bunch of family dishes etc that I never really liked that were in a box in a closet for way toooo long. I knew I would never use them and decided zero guilt giving them away.
