Thanks for coming with me this year! Ending 2021 on a high note: 3 Excellent recipes. Here's to a delicious 2022.
Excellent
12/26 Pepperonata (Serious Eats) Not sure when I actually made this, but we ate it last night. Defrosted over low heat and served with pork chops. DELISH! 12/6 Brussels and Broccoli Agrodolce (F&W 11/21) Easy, can be make-ahead, delicious, different. 12/6 [Baked Shells with] Gremolata Breadcrumbs (F&W 11/21) These really jazzed up the mac and cheese. Crunchy, garlic-y, lemony.
Make Again
12/23 Cranberry Eggnog Bread (SL) My first time trying eggnog and it was good. This bread was delicious as well—used less cranberries and used pecans. 12/23 Whipped Eggnog Loaf Cake (thekitchn) Really liked the simplicity of the flavors. Made as mini bundts. Don’t use KitchenAid to whip eggnog? Too little. 12/17 Apple Crumble Tassies (Washington Post) Really delicious and different from the usual pecan.
Good 12/26 Bacony Peas (CC Feb/M 2010) This tasted like bacony peas 12/6 Brown Sugar Glazed Apple Cake (EW 09/20) Tasty, but not fabulous. (I don't even remember making this!!! Oh, dear!)

Erin, it is always a lovely food journey with you! You are kind enough to keep good notes and share them, which encourages us to eat better and try new things. Here's to 2022, hoping it is a great food (and life) ride!
The better than take-out noodle dish from Bon Appetite was my favorite this year. Easy and versatile and most of all, quick. I've tweaked to apply to other combinations and it never disappoints.
The butter-soy combo from Milk Street was also a stand out for me.
The rest is a blur. I'll no doubt think about this and bring it up to repost. I usually post a recipe after I make it and love it, so I should just search for my own name here, LOL. My food stand-out was discovering I love short grain rice; Japanese white but also in brown rice. Life changing, LOL.

I will look up a couple of those recipes. I need new vegetable ideas, too many repeats of old versions.
