Several folks have expressed an interest in getting a copy of the CLBB Cookbook. I am doing a test share and will see if they go through smoothly.
Since this cookbook is the work product of members of the CLBB, especially Jeanne (Greysangel), and Jeanne asked only that we consider making a donation to a charitable organization, about what they might pay for a new cookbook, as a thanks for all their work. I would like to ask that we continue that request and tradition. Many donations went to organizations fighting hunger or helping women at shelters or trying to get into the workplace while others chose an animal shelter or welfare organization. It was all done on the honor system -- but I am a full believer in karma. So, think it over and post here to let me know if you would like to receive the files once they are ready.
Just to follow through, it occurred to me that I'd seen JeAnne on Facebook, so I just sent her a message (I had no idea if she'd seen it or not since we're not FB friends.) She responded quite promptly. She is happy to hear that people are still interested in the book and welcomes anyone interested to have it. When I asked about the charitable donation thing, she pretty much put it as Beth did above. So there you have it.
Thanks Gail. I'm glad to hear that. She did most of the work and coordinated the rest, so I feel it is important to honor both her requests and the mutual consent of those who contributed. I have not gotten a reply to verify whether my test case went smoothly but will report back shortly.
My test went through without a hitch, so if you didn't get it before or have lost it, send me a message (or email if you have my email) and let me know. You will be on your honor to make the donation (or volunteer), but I hpe you will -- not only to honor those who worked hard to put it all together, but also to help those who would benefit rom your generousity now.
