I was pleased with how this worked. this depends on what farro you are working with, how "pearled" the farro is. this one is bobs red mill. I had one that was precooked, one that cooked for 15 min,. and the current one is 30 min. stovetop is simmer 30 min and drain. the IP it was 12 min. not a huge time saving but I needed to do something out of the kitchen and this way I could leave it untended.
I'm still not finding a brown rice method in the IP that works. since it is 40-45 min, I would love to shorten it. I know I can get instant brown rice and I use it sometimes, but the real thing is so much better.
