I guess they had interviewed some folks and asked what their most memorable recollection was from listening to NPR over the last 26 years. Canice Flanagan of SF said it was in 2008 when a reporter in China was covering financial news (I think that’s what the reporter was covering, I wasn’t paying real close attention until I heard Canice’s name) and during the report, the reporter said she felt the building move, things were shaking, a church steeple fell over, etc. and Canice was amazed at how focused she stayed during the earthquake. Canice went on to say she’s lived in SF her entire life so she’s used to earthquakes but the calmness of the reporter was just amazing and she’ll remember it forever. I guess it was a very devastating earthquake.

How cool. I sure miss our old gang. This board has been a wonderful addition, but the old, busy days on the CLBB are missed. Thanks for sharing.

Agree. The people and the depth of knowledge and experiences was just amazing. And the food was pretty good too.
