It is possible you will still be able to view the pages you saved trying Control S. When I posted my "Oh Crap!" thread, I found I had a set of files that only had elements from the thread (including photos), but not the text. When I scrolled further down my page, I found most or all of the same thread titles with the Google symbol. I can view those pages and was able to go back and grab the text and save as a word document even after the BB was shut down. Now, if you click on any link or anything that activates code on that page, it takes you to the new CL page, but I could still go back and start over rom the file on my computer. So if you think you lost anything, take a closer look on your computer. There might be something you can still use. It may be a Google thing -- I don't pretend to know.
