A few weeks back I was watering some of my new "at home for weeks, let's buy some new plants" and noticed a few super tiny bugs flying around when I watered them (or knocked the pot). At first I thought oh great the plants brought in bugs.
But around the same time, I had the usual bug invasion that happens every year. If you look at my window screens at night there are a ton of super tiny flying insects (someone said they are no see um's ?) on the other side. I always just assumed that they get thru the screens or my front door --- they seem to be attracted to light (would see a few on top of light bulbs). I could be on my laptop and a few flying around at night.
One of maintenance guys in my bldg said they are too small to be kept out. And from my reading they like moist/wet conditions ----- and I live across from a reservior, and have lots of landscaping, trees in front of my bldg.
I ordered a few sticky traps shaped like flowers that you stick in plant pot etc. Or around the room. I tried setting out bowls of apple cider vinegar with a bit of dish soap but that just got a few.
Anyone have this problem? tips?
Thanks

Here's a catch-22...spiders eat them. OY, but then you have spiders! Here, it is fleas with an indoor/outdoor cat. I'm chewed up. At least your creatures don't bite, LOL. Yet another reason I can't wait for October!
