Thanks for posting applecrisp! There are a lot of chocolate chips and chopped pecans in my pantry (what was I thinking?).

Thanks Karen for the recipe. I tried the Sheila G (it was one of the flavored ones) and I didn't like it at all. It was so incredibly sweet that I didn't even finish the bag (what!). In a way it is a good thing I can''t find flour, the temptation. Ha. Take care!

Thanks for the warning applecrisp!!! I will not bother with that recipe. Hi swedishcook, SheilaG is a company that sells brownie brittle at supermarkets etc. It's a commercial product. It is what they sell that Karen and I didn't care for. I thought it was cloyingly sweet (perhaps the flavor I had).

That was my take on Sheila G's as well. Way too sweet and not chocolately in a good way. The recipe that I referenced above for brownie brittle was less sweet and much richer esp, with the added espresso. If you leave off the toffee bits on top, it would cut the sweetness even more and the touch of coarse flaky sea salt on top really complemented the flavor. Worth trying IMHO! But I also tend to like crunchy things like this brittle, biscotti etc....
