Very hot here. Maybe Zankouchicken.com. What's on your dinner plate?

Hmmm - good question - I don't have anything planned. I have a frozen pizza in the freezer so maybe we'll have that. I need to make some freezer meals so I have something on hand but I've been too busy lately to prepare any. This weekend is supposed to be hot so I probably won't remedy that problem anytime soon.

No clue. Which is par for the course. Sometimes I don't decide until 8 or 9 pm. (we eat very late on Fridays) Depends upon what looks good at the market (usually seafood) and what looks good in the produce department. Anything else I'll figure out between (they're at opposite ends of the store.) Was thinking about baking a tart for dessert, but weather is prohibitive. My son came over and made dinner for us last night, leaving us with the remainder of a TJ's pie suffering from crust dysfunction. Maybe I should re-purpose pie filling, splash with booze and flame and toss into crepes? Am I ready to flame anything after computer tower caught on fire last week? But, oh. Your question was about dinner, not dessert. Must stop rambling. Seek inspiration at the market. It has air conditioning.

Supper club tonight. The main dish is Banh Mi Bowls. I made the quick carrot/radish pickle and am bringing some white wine. The rest are filling in the menu. Tomorrow, is a cooking/home day for me and I swear, I swear, I swear I am going to make Pesto Chicken Burgers. Planning on stuffing the last of the banana peppers for the freezer. Maybe make Nigella's No-Churn Coffee Ice Cream. Gail, I love that your repurposing involves crepes and flames! I would scoop it out over ice cream or cover the top in whipped cream and call it a day.

Settled on salmon (which will be crispy skinned), Potatoes Savoyarde (sort of like scalloped, but cooked in broth and topped with gruyere, parsley and garlic) and ratatouille. Off to start my crepes (for the repurposed apple pie).

I met my sister and brother for pizza Friday. DH was still out of town and my brother was in town for a day. Sounds like there was some good eating going on with the rest of you. My pizza was good, but the only "cooking" I did while DH was out of town was heating up some tortillas with some leftover chicken and cheese and making coffee. Sometimes a break is good.
According to one source, today was National Pancake Day. We thought about making pancakes for dinner, but my sourdough starter needs more time for another feeding. So we made zucchini corn pancakes (fritters, if you will).
