Hi back at ya, Cher and welcome. Your recipe looks good and easy. I can't wait to try it! Thanks. Hi Everyone~! I'm new here...and I'm loving all these recipes. My favorite cabbage family recipe is cabbage and noodles. I thinly slice my cabbage, and brown it with onions in butter. Some like it lightly cooked, but I usually slightly brown the cabbage to caramelize it. Then I add noodles I've already cooked, and mix it all together so its all browned together. We usually eat this with grilled keilbassi or hot dogs.

My daughter made a super good coleslaw and now my husband and I have been making similar LOTS:
shredded purple cabbage (we have used green because that's what is on hand) - thinly sliced is what I like best shredded carrots (very thin little shreds, not too long) chopped onions mayo (she used vegan, we use Best Foods) pinch or more of sugar pinch dry mustard (hers must have been fresher because I could taste it more in hers and it was awesome tiny hint of wow good) some apple cider vinegar salt and pepper
Pretty sure that's all. Daughter's was sweeter than ours and I loved it so much that I made sure to get every teaspoon of the sauce. Hers had purple cabbage with was so nice. I *loved* the slight hit of dry mustard. I never did care for regular coleslaw all that much, but this I have been loving. Must be the onions and mustard? I dunno.

Catbatty, your daughter’s coleslaw sounds a lot like my longtime fave from a vintage “Best Recipes from the Backs of Boxes, Bottles, Cans and Jars” book called Country-style Cole slaw. That cabbage chronicles link is adorable!
