maybe there's something in the water in Wisconsin!.... I have a twisted tortuous colon that is rough to scope. Ive had 2 procedures , not sure if I need a future one as I'm getting old and am on the 10 yr repeat. DH, is younger and already on procedure #5. his family is riddled with colon and urinary tract cancers. he has had polyps removed, just one small one this time. he will be getting scoped for the foreseeable future. he eats a really high fiber diet, nothing like what I need, but by normal standards, (Im a ruminant) very high fiber. I just assumed there were different colon lengths since there is so much variation that still is wnl. he has never had a problem with the diet beforehand, but this time he had to be on a low fiber diet for 4-5 days even before the clear liquid day, and it was disruptive even for him. he will be getting a scoping every 3 years no matter what and is hypervigilant due to so many family members getting colon or renal cancer and dying from it.
ETA not everyone died but enough people did to put the colonoscopy to top of the screening list . he also gets a urinalysis every physical, something that has fallen off the screening protocol most places. sister, father and mother had urinary tract cancers.

I commend him for going. I was on the 5 year plan for the first 10 years, then my oncologist said every 10 years is fine (breast cancer and colon cancer can be sister cancers). So I have 1-1/2 years before my next one. Already dreading it.

Hey catbatty ….we got sort of side tracked with the colonoscopy business, went fine if it can ever be "fine". I want to thank you for sticking with me on the wordpad business. I had no idea that program was in there since it doesn't show anywhere.
Yes, it does work. I've done recipes a couple times now. still a little more space hogging than I want... I'm getting faster at editing out the junk. Thank you!!! and Happy New Year to you. Valerie
