I'm in the market for a new gas range; the bottom heating element of my Thermadore dual-fuel oven is nonfunctional and we can't get a replacment part. Does anyone have any recommendations for a brand?
The Samsung (NX58H9500WS or SS) is recommended by Consumer Reports and Good Housekeeping, but many customer reviews say the knobs are low quality and break, the cooktop is easily scratched, the griddle doesn't get hot enough, the thermostat breaks when self-cleaning is used, and customer service is poor.
Other brands that I'm starting to research are GE, Frigidaire, LG, and KitchenAid. Do you love your oven? Hate it? Thanks for your suggestions!
Editing to add, I'm looking for a gas range. The dual-fuel was great except for in a power failure, and I was unaware how often the power glitched until I had this oven. When a storm was due, I'd always make sure I had food I could cook on top of the stove.

Miele receives consistently good reviews. GE is owned my Haier (china) now, I believe. I have a bosch induction and love it, so I would highly recommend checking out to see what they offer in a full range product (also have their dishwasher).

Barbara, What did you end up buying? What do you think of it now? Would love to hear.

We wound up buying a Frigidaire. Pleased with it so far.
