This looks delicious and perfect for fall! Did your friend use a cast iron skillet as the recipe suggests, or something else? I don't have one and am trying to reduce my amount of "stuff", although so many good recipes call for one that I've been reconsidering.

She used a regular cast just because she has one. I think in recipe it said it was the suggested pan but not requirement (I think some commented on what they used). I do have a cast iron that i really like but haven't used as much as in the past simply because what I'm eating (doing less cooking it seems). I'm with you on not wanting more things -- the good thing is at least its super cheap if you do get one. If you try the recipe hope you like it. I'n not experienced a baker to know if it really makes a difference -- but isn't a pineapple upside down cake similar -- I've seen that made in baking pans I think>
