In my last Vitacost order I ordered a jar of black bean corn salsa that I really liked. I've made the usual black bean corn salsa before -- with black beans, corn, chopped tomatoes, cilantro, lime .... But this one had a more tomato sauce (kind of smoky) base.
The ingredients .... Organic tomato puree, organic fire roasted tomatoes, organic roasted corn, organic onions, organic black beans, organic roasted onions, organic tomatoes, organic white vinegar, organic jalapeno peppers, organic garlic, salt, organic chili powder, organic cilantro, organic marjoram, organic thyme. I could just give it a try since, uh, I know the ingredients. Or just do the following, twist jar, open, eat.
It is in my cart for my next order since couldn't be any more convenient but I was wondering if anyone made something similar since a bit different from the usual salsa or have a favorite salsa recipe.
Thx.

Well, since I love the Southwestern Bean salad I posted eons ago, I would just use all black beans instead of the mix and use roasted tomatoes to get the char/smoke taste.

Wallycat, I've made that recipe that you posted. It is so good. Thx for the reminder and ideas!
I can eat beans, corn, tomatoes, cilantro etc in any combination so I bet it would be good assuming not too much heat. And then if there is some guac to go along with it...
