When I was doing my experiments with bean soups last fall, I decided I wanted some beans that weren't store brands. I found the Camillia brand of beans online and ordered their Great Northern Beans. They have many types of beans as well as lentils. www.camelliabrand.com/product-category/dried-beans-peas-lentils/I ordered mine online. But you might find their beans in a grocery store. Walmart carries some of their items, but not the Great Northern Beans. Anyway, the beans turned out great in soups. I plan to keep them on hand to encourage me to make healthy soups more often.

YES YES BEANS!! Healthy and good! I love beans! We found a local grocer that sells Rancho Gordo dried beans. I bought some different kinds, but haven't used them yet. We are so used to just using pintos. I need to branch out. PS: I saw a youtube video of a gal using an Instant Pot. She kept various beans, soaked only--then frozen, to toss in anything she felt like making in her IP. So when she is making veggie soups, etc., she just tosses in a bag of pre-soaked beans from her freezer. So efficient and yum. :0)

If I wake up wanting beans, I toss 'em in a small crockpot and add salt and water....by afternoon, I have a pot of beans. You can add aromatics if you want, or use the beans in stuff.
