I saw this recipe on dunkandcrumble.com and I thought they sounded good and different. This is not something that I would normally make (yet that is!) but the picture of the bars got me. I've never used Medjool dates before but I think I'm going to put them on my shopping list. Full of great ingredients like cashews, Medjool dates, dried cherries, sesame seeds, oats, a bit of cocoa ..... Hey, that makes me wonder how they taste. Ha. But I've tried a couple of her recipes and thought they were all really good, and a few favorites (from her book, Sheet Pan Suppers as well as her website soooo .....). This recipe she adapted from the cookbook, Whole Grain Mornings. I thought I would post. And, I'll update with a review if I make them, but in the meantime..... dunkandcrumble.com/cherry-cashew-sesame-bars/And, a picture from her website. (sorry pic is so big)

Sallyt,
Same here, I'm curious on what they would taste like and what the texture would be like. My first impression if I saw that recipe on a random blog would be, I wonder if it tastes like goo with some oats for texture (like when WF gives out samples of some energy bar/nutrition bars that are uber healthy, you take the sample, and try not to show how horrible it tastes to the person giving out the samples, and then hope, they are giving out a sample in the bakery so they could redeem themselves and you can get that kale, quinoa, cashew, coconut water, chia thing out of your head).
But I'm intrigued. I took a quick look at the cookbook online (that she got the recipe from, but changed up a bit) and it looks beautiful and with some great reviews. Sooooooo.
How ironic would it be if I made it and it became one of my all time favorites. I'll be sure to post a review if I make them!
