This is an excellent cake. Don't be fooled by the ingredient list! The first time I made it I was not at all prepared for its moistness and excellent crumb. It is dependable, Go-To recipe. It freezes well, frosted or unfrosted.
Malted Milk Cake ~
1 white cake mix 1/2 cup malted milk powder 1 1/4 cups water 1/3 cup oil 3 eggs
In stand mixer, mix the malted milk powder and cake mix. Add the water, oil and eggs. Beat until well-combined. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13x2" pan, or 3 8" round cake pans. Bake 350 degrees, 22-28 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

Sounds yummy. I don’t bake many cakes but I might have to try it. What do you typically frost it with?

Frost with a favorite Buttercream. I keep thinking I will try a Chocolate Malt frosting. (No recipe, just in my head - Improvise). A sprinkle of powdered sugar never offends anyone, and it reminds them that simple is elegant.
